Ok, I got it
The idea of Todayz Teenz was started by a 15 year old boy, James, while he was having his dinner in early 2008.

James noticed that there were no magazines for teenage boys and none which the teenagers can have a say, so he decided to ask other people his age what they thought.

"Not all teenagers drink; take drugs and stab everyone like the media makes us out to do. I think this magazine could really show people that only a few teenagers do this and that most of us are against it. I think a magazine about these sorts of topics is much more important than celebrity gossip."
James then asked his family for support in creating and publishing a real monthly magazine for teenagers, by teenagers.

He bought books, looked up companies and using Bebo and MSN he started asking teenagers across the world to write him articles.

In early June, a TV channel came across Todayz Teenz and showed great interests. There were several phone conversations between James and the TV station. James decided that if his new magazine had TV coverage, there would be enough people to buy his magazine, therefore covering the huge costs of running a published magazine.

Unfortunately, in late June 2008 the TV channel told James that they were no longer interested. At the time, James was studying for his GCSE’s and didn’t have time to create a magazine with all the hassle of advertising and getting the Todayz Teenz name known.

James decided that the only way to create the Todayz Teenz dream with a low budget, was to go online. Using social networking sites James managed to reach over 300 teenagers across the world and successfully launch the first ever issue of Todayz Teenz on July 1st 2008.

"Other magazines are good, but they are obviously edited and written by adults. Todayz Teenz is written by teenagers, for teenagers. That’s why it's great!"

Todayz Teenz was a big hit, but it was nowhere near like it is now. There were several changes on the Todayz Teenz website which has made it what it is today. A reviews and music section was added and Todayz Teenz was given exclusive access to interview the popular band from the South of England Amy Can Flyy and were able to put their music on the website.

In late August 2008, Todayz Teenz turned into a free online network for teenagers. The network consisted of the magazine, an online forum, a blog and a Bebo profile.

Todayz Teenz is now very popular and is slowly becoming famous.

“I've just been reading the mag. It’s amazing. It supports people and warns them of the dangers of self harming and drugs. Amazing xo”
